Small Business Advocacy Bureau

You have found the Small Business Advocacy Bureau. The SBAB is staffed by professional mediators and problem solvers. We have used the internet since 1996 to solve disputes, obtain pay from delinquent customers and to educate others about unscrupulous acts by public utilities, law firms, contractors, businesses and individuals.

We decided that we might be able to provide a service to others, so we established the Small Business Advocacy Bureau. Think of us as crimefighters whose capes are at the dry cleaners.

When you have a problem, follow this chain of action:

1. Contact the violator directly. Control your emotions and do not display a temper or use foul language. Provide all documentation to them, and then allow them the opportunity to resolve the situation.

2. Contact a third-party consumer oversight organization, government body or consumer organization specific to the violator. Explain your reason for discontent, and ask them for advice to gain satisfaction. Many communities have third-party mediation services which are very helpful.

3. If you feel that you have exhausted reasonable methods to obtain satisfaction, contact us with your name, phone number and the nature of your complaint.

E-Mail the SBAB

The Small Business Advocacy Bureau is not a free service. Once we post a claim, if we are able to obtain fees or payment to solve your matter in part or in full, we retain 10 percent of the amount. The claim remains online until it is resolved. You are responsible for costs incurred to resolve your issue, but the SBAB will not proceed with actions that cost money without your written consent.

We reserve the right to refuse any claim for any reason. We will inform you of limitations to the services we can legally provide, on a case-by-case basis.
