Pizza Spinners to Highlight PMQ’s 4th Annual New York Pizza Show March 9
OXFORD, MISS. (March 1, 2008) – Visitors to PMQ Pizza Magazine’s Fourth Annual New York Pizza Show will see the flour fly Sunday March 9, as the best pizza acrobats in the world will compete for a spot to defend the United States’ team Gold Medal in international competition. Pizza acrobatics is just one of many events that will highlight the New York Pizza Show, which runs through March 11 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in conjunction with the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show.
The U.S. Pizza Team is a group of pizza makers and dough acrobats whose goal is to bring world attention to the talent and camaraderie of the pizza industry. The U.S. Pizza Team and its members at www.uspizzateam.com.
The U.S. Pizza Team is selected each year from competitions in New York City and at the American Pizza Championships in Orlando, Fla. Following the selection process at the New York Pizza Show, a new team will defend its world title at the International Pizza and Pasta Expo in Paris, France, beginning March 26.
The show floor will be packed with companies displaying equipment, food products and services; performances by PMQ’s own U.S. Pizza Team and the creator of the Pizza Dance, Tony Modica; and the America’s Plate Competition, a coveted international culinary competition that awards the Best Pizza in the World.
